The long flight back from Alaska sure tires you out. It’s a six hour flight, which isn’t bad in itself, but then you have to add on the three hour time change.

We left at approx 9:45 PM and hit ORD at 6:30 AM. Hardly a wink of sleep between my wife and me but the kids got some restless sack time. The rest of the day on Saturday was lost, wasted in getting back up to speed with daily life. After that day, we all slept until about 11 AM on Sunday. I don’t think the kids have ever slept that late!

Anyway, one of the things that I did, besides have a good Father’s Day was to look over the images we took during our sojourn to Alaska. I counted over 1200 images between our 2 cameras – WHEW! Anyway, I’m slowly getting these online. I have all of the images – public and private (you will need a password) through the Tuesday of our trip.

So, kick back and enjoy – I’ll let you know when there are other images for your amusement!

Well, it’s about to end, but it’s been fun!

The family and I have been visiting my sister in Alaska and we’ve had a bunch of fun visiting and seeing some of the sights in the 49th state.

So far, we’ve cruised down Resurrection Bay, seen salmon spawning, fed reindeer, panned for gold, waded through a glacial river, climbed a mountain and taken a look at a glacier up close and personal and have see a ton of wildlife.

We’ve done the tourist things and purchased some souveniers too.

Best of all, we’ve been able to spend time with my sister! The kids have missed her and found out that she’s just as much fun as before.

But tomorrow, it all comes to an end. We’re flying back home tomorrow night. More than a year’s worth of memories, hopes and experiences packed into a tiny, single week. Just doesn’t seem fair! We’ll see each other again, but who knows when – the kids will be bigger, we’ll all be older, and who knows what else.

Well, gotta get some sleep – busy day tomorrow filled with visiting, shopping, looking around and bittersweet parting.

Lots of photos from this trip – galeries will be updated when I am able to catch up on sleep!
